David Cook's Heartwrenching "Permanent" at the Idol Finale

David Cook is probably my all-time favorite Idol winner and this is one of the most beautiful, though heartbreaking, songs I've ever heard. David gave this incredible performance at the AI finale after losing his big brother to brain cancer earlier in the month. The song can be downloaded at iTunes with proceeds going to cancer research.

Danny Gokey's Amazing American Idol Audition

Even though American Idol's new season just started, Danny Gokey is my pick to win Season 8(at this point anyway). I know he's a favorite with many others as well. Not only can he sing, but he seems like such a nice guy too. Who could forget the heart-wrenching story about how he lost his wife? I believe we'll be hearing much more to come from Danny.
