Amanda Overmyer Voted Off American Idol Last Night

To me, from the start Amanda Overmeyer seemed like an old soul. Even her favorite quote supports this: "I was born a long way from home. I have spent my whole life just trying to get back." - Janis Joplin

Although Amanda perhaps appealed to a smaller audience, she does have a very distinct style and I was amazed with the strength she showed after her elimination last night. She really seems to enjoy rockin out and I hope that American Idol helps open some doors for her.
